I am finishing off the month of January at 30 weeks! Honestly for a while I have been deathly afraid of having a baby. The thought "Baby" sounded so awesome but thinking about reality, I was really scared and who isn't? A lot of my insecurities and shortcomings would flash before me like a sci-fi movie intro and I would go through emotional wars with myself thinking one moment I will do my best to be the most loving and influence for good on my child...then the next, how terrible I will be and the mistakes I will inevitably make!...Just like Rapunzel's war with herself.
Then about a week ago I had a dream. I saw in a dream I was in labor, SCARY. And then I had my baby, I held a sweet little girl. Staring into her face made me swell up inside with love and gratitude and all my worries melted away. I woke up feeling comforted and at peace for the first time. I'm not scared anymore. I'm still a little lost and clueless with being a mommy, but I know it'll be okay. I am grateful I have the support of family, friends and a wonderful RS to help me through it.
Being able to feel my baby move and kick sweetens the experience. Which, I enjoy very much in the midst of weird pregnancy symptoms. The side effects of pregnancy have been really crazy. My least favorite of them all started on Christmas Day. My vision went bad and I feel like my left eye sags...

Adam and I recently came across a Leadership development program called Life Leadership, and its been AWESOME. It's basically a program for self development and success in eight specific areas of life that bring us overall happiness. Faith, family, finances, following (leadership), fun, friends, fitness and freedom. I really don't do it justice trying to explain it. But it's been a great asset to us- helping us become better leaders and building off of what we know and hope to gain in life. Just after a week I recognized the changes it is bringing into our lives for the better. More to come on that, but I hope to eventually share with all of you this life changing program.
