LDS Oakland Temple

This week we visited the Oakland LDS Temple. This beautiful temple has been around for over 50 years and in a few weeks, will be closing for extensive renovations that could last 12-18 months. I'm so glad we got to see it for the short time we're here.

Adam and I took turns going in and watching the girls. They loved playing in the gardens and looking around the Visitors Center during the wait.

We were there for so long but they held it together pretty well. Taylor was definitely DONE for the day.

Baby update: I'm about 27 weeks pregnant. Honestly, being my third baby, I don't pay much attention to the weeks.  I do, however, get googly eyed when I see baby boy clothes. I can't wait to start shopping when it gets closer to the due date! I'll be able to schedule the C-section in a month to get a solid due date but, right now, we're looking at May 10th. Everything seems to be going well. I can feel Baby Ruben partying it up every night haha. Ohhh pregnancy sleep...


A few weeks ago, Adam's road bike was sadly stolen. He took this opportunity to replace it with a mountain bike instead. I've been really excited for him! Unlike me, he loves and needs to exercise in some way. As many know, he was an avid crossfitter but back in the fall, he was in a car accident that kept him from being able to do that. Since the time he got his new bike, he's taken it out as much as his schedule allows to explore the many trails around us. We also got a bike trailer (we dubbed The Chariot) that the girls just LOVE.

Remember you were young and couldn't part with your favorite new toy for anything? Emery tried to sleep with her helmet haha.
